Sun Yat Sen Memorial Park Swimming Pool complex is located in Hong Kong’s Sai Yin Pun area. The architect of the new building requested lightweight wooden facades to enhance the appearance of the building. The fa ades needed to be fire-retardant, eco-friendly and low maintenance, while being able to visually complement the surrounding park area; and Biowood composite wood was specified for this project.
Biowood composite wood is carefully engineered to have the minimum possible carbon footprint. The product offers a number of eco-friendly features, such as, the use of 70% reconstituted wood, as well as the product is 100% recyclable and PEFC certified.

Furthermore, it has all the appearances and aesthetics of natural timber, but without the undesirable effects, such as, cracking and splitting. Biowood composite wood has been put through special techniques to process and extrude the composite material into different finishes and profiles that allowing the architect to create a unique contemporary look for the exterior of the building.
